The short version
We use the details you send to respond to and plan your travel inquiry, limited technical information to operate and protect the website, and Google Analytics data to understand how the site is used. Cloudflare, Resend, and Google help provide those functions. You can contact us at any time with a privacy question.
1. Scope of this notice
XIN China Travel (“XIN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates xinchinatravel.com. This notice describes how we handle information when you visit this website, use its contact form, or communicate with us about a travel inquiry.
Other websites and services linked from our pages have their own privacy practices. Their notices apply when you use them.
2. Information we handle
Information you choose to provide
Our contact form asks for:
- your name and email address;
- your country;
- your expected departure date and trip duration;
- the number of travelers;
- your expected budget per person; and
- the message you write about your trip.
If you contact us by email, we also receive your email address and the information included in your message. Please do not send passport details, payment-card information, health information, or other sensitive information through the website form.
Technical and anti-abuse information
When your browser connects to the site or submits the form, we and Cloudflare process standard network and request information. This can include your IP address, the website origin, browser or device information, referring page, request date and time, and security or diagnostic signals.
The form also uses two simple anti-spam fields: an empty “website” field that people do not need to complete, and a timestamp recording when the form was opened. These help identify automated or unusually fast submissions. A short-lived rate-limit check also uses the IP address and website origin within a one-minute window.
Website analytics information
Google Analytics can collect visit and session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, referring sources, pages viewed, interactions, and a browser identifier. We do not intentionally send your name, email address, or the contents of your travel inquiry to Google Analytics.
3. How we use information
We use information for the purposes that are relevant to your interaction with us, including to:
- receive, review, and respond to your inquiry;
- understand your travel preferences and discuss a possible itinerary or related services;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the website and contact form;
- detect spam, automated submissions, misuse, and technical problems;
- understand website traffic and improve page content and usability; and
- meet applicable requirements, resolve disputes, or protect our rights and the safety of the service where reasonably necessary.
4. Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers to run this website and deliver inquiries. They process information for their respective services and under their own terms and privacy documentation.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare delivers and protects the website and runs the contact-form endpoint. Website requests and form submissions therefore pass through Cloudflare systems.
Cloudflare privacy policyResend
Resend receives the inquiry details in an email request and delivers that message to our contact inbox. It may also process delivery and diagnostic metadata.
Resend privacy policyGoogle Analytics
Google processes website measurement data so we can understand visits and page use. This is separate from the email delivery of your inquiry.
Google privacy policyWe may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to respond to a valid legal request, comply with an applicable obligation, investigate misuse, or protect the rights and safety of XIN, our visitors, or others. We do not publish contact-form submissions.
5. Cookies and Google Analytics
Google Analytics runs when pages on this site load. In its standard web implementation, Google Analytics may place a first-party cookie named _ga and related cookies or identifiers to distinguish browsers and sessions. The resulting measurement can include user and session counts, approximate geolocation, browser and device information, and page events.
Cloudflare may also use cookies or similar technologies when required for security, performance, or service-delivery features. You can delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking them may change how some website or measurement features work.
For more information, see Google’s Analytics data collection explanation and Analytics privacy controls. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. How long information is kept
We keep contact inquiries for as long as reasonably needed to respond, develop or manage the requested travel services, maintain relevant business records, resolve disputes or security issues, and meet applicable requirements. Because those needs vary, we do not state one fixed retention period for every inquiry.
The form’s in-memory rate-limit count is used within a one-minute window. Cloudflare, Resend, and Google may retain service, security, delivery, or analytics information according to our configurations and their applicable policies. We may remove or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
7. Your privacy choices
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, local law may allow you to ask whether we hold information about you or request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. You may also ask a question about how an inquiry was handled.
Email [email protected] with enough information for us to identify the relevant inquiry. We may need to verify that a request relates to you. A request may be limited where information must be kept or processed for a permitted reason.
You can manage cookies through your browser and use the Google Analytics opt-out link above. If you prefer not to use the website form, you can contact us directly by email, but email communication also requires us and our email providers to process your address and message.
8. International processing
Travel inquiries can come from many countries, and our service providers operate infrastructure in multiple locations. As a result, information may be processed in a country other than the one where you live. Privacy and data-protection rules can differ between countries. The providers linked above describe their own international processing practices in more detail.
9. Security
We use measures intended to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, and disclosure, including encrypted web connections, restricted form origins, input validation, anti-abuse checks, and secret storage for the email-delivery credential. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children’s information
The inquiry form is intended for people able to make or help manage a travel inquiry. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate parent or guardian involvement, please email us so we can review the situation.
11. Changes to this notice
We may revise this notice when the website, our providers, or our information practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when this version was prepared. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
